If you’re starting your Pilates teaching journey and know you want to teach both Matwork and Reformer, this complete training package is for you.

The bundle combines:

• Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates Matwork

• Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Pilates Studio Reformer Sessions

  
  

You’ll develop the knowledge, confidence and practical teaching skills needed to plan and deliver safe and effective Matwork and Reformer Pilates sessions.

Both qualifications are delivered by PilatEASE Training School, an approved Active IQ training centre and successful working Pilates studio.

Your Matwork qualification

Your training begins with the Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates Matwork - the essential first step towards becoming a qualified Pilates instructor.

The course takes place over 12 weeks and includes six face-to-face training days, supported by online learning and independent study.

You’ll cover:

• Anatomy and physiology for exercise and health

• The principles and fundamentals of Pilates

• Health, safety and welfare

• Supporting clients to participate in physical activity

• Planning safe and effective Matwork classes

• Teaching and adapting Pilates exercises

• Creating progressive sessions for different clients

• Building your confidence as a Pilates instructor

  
  

Your Matwork assessment includes coursework, a portfolio of evidence, online examinations, assignments and a practical teaching assessment.

No previous fitness or teaching qualifications are required to begin the Matwork Diploma.

Your Reformer qualification

Following or alongside your Matwork training, you’ll progress to the Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Pilates Studio Reformer Sessions.

The Reformer course combines two face-to-face practical training days with online learning, tutor-led discussions and independent study.

You’ll cover:

• The history and principles of the Pilates Reformer

• Setting up and using the Reformer safely

• Health, safety and risk assessment

• The Reformer repertoire and exercise adaptations

• Planning progressive one-to-one programmes

• Planning and delivering small-group Reformer sessions

• Teaching, observing and correcting clients

• Evaluating and progressing Reformer sessions

  
  

The Reformer qualification can be completed in as little as six weeks. You’ll have up to 12 months from registration to complete all coursework and assessments.

• Eight face-to-face practical training days across both qualifications (6 for Mat, 2 for Reformer)

Assessment

The Matwork qualification is assessed through a combination of:

• Coursework and assignments

• A portfolio of evidence

• Online examinations

• Practical demonstrations

• A final practical Matwork teaching assessment

The Reformer qualification is assessed through:

• Assignments and worksheets

• Practical teaching activities

• Planning and evaluation work

• A live or filmed small-group Reformer Pilates session

Full guidance and tutor support will be provided throughout both qualifications.

All face-to-face Matwork training days are scheduled from 10am - 4pm. Times may occasionally vary.

By purchasing this bundle, you are reserving places on both the Active IQ Level 3 Matwork Diploma and Level 3 Reformer Certificate.

Your Reformer training dates will be arranged with you as you progress through your Matwork qualification. We’ll contact you with the available options and help you select the most suitable cohort.

Parking is available opposite the studio beside Denton Burn Library and on the surrounding streets.
